The piety of Imām Hamzah

Imām Hamzah was the Sheikh al-Qurrāʾ in Kufa during his time.

Imām ash- Shāṭibī mentioned these lines with respect to the purity and righteousness of Imām Hamzah

وحمزةَ ما أزكاه من متورِّعٍ اِماما صبورا للقرانِمُرَتلا

and Hamzah, who was purer than him in piety!!
