His Esteemed Secret: الكرِمُ السِّرِّ الطيِّبِ

Imām ash- Shāṭibī in Shatibiyyah (His Poem)mentioned Imām Nāfiʿ as the Holder of noble secret concerning sweet scents (الكرِمُ السِّرِّ الطيِّبِ)

It was narrated by Imām al Jazari that when Imām Nāfiʿ recited the Qur’an a sweet fragrance emanated from his mouth and when he was asked about it, he replied that he had recited the Qur’an to Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), in his dream and Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) had blown into his mouth and since that time a sweet smell emanated from his mouth.

It is said that students and companions of when Imām Nāfiʿ were puzzled at the sweet scent and thought he applied some perfume and when they asked him about it, they came to know about the dream.
