1.Surah ar-Rum :10-
Then most evil was the end of the evildoers for denying and mocking the signs of Allah.
The Word: أَسَـٰٓـُٔوا۟ ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ (Meaning: أَسَـٰٓـُٔوا۟- did evil, ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ-the evil) occurs many times in different forms of baab.
Recitation Challenge: To recite with proper Madd timing in waslan (continutation) and waqfan (stopping)
Tajweed Tip: In the First word أَسَـٰٓـُٔوا۟ alif madd after س has to be elongated for 4 counts (Madd wajib muttasil) and madd Badal (madd after ء) need to read with 2 counts in waqfan and in waslan its dropped because of meeting of sakin letter in the next word. Next word ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ , waaw madd of س is elongated to 4 counts both in waslan and waqfan (madd wajib muttasil) and Alif madd of ء (madd badal) is read with 2 counts in waqfan but when it is continued with next word it is to be read with 4 counts as the next word has ء as first letter (madd jaez munfasil).
Note: This words occurs many times in different forms of baab.
2. Surah Al-Qasas :31-
Now, throw down your staff!” But when he saw it slithering like a snake, he ran away without looking back. ˹Allah reassured him,˺ “O Moses! Draw near, and have no fear. You are perfectly secure.
The Word : جَآنٌّۭ Meaning: (were) a snake occurs four times in the Qur’an
Recitation Challenge: Application of Madd laazim and stopping on the noon mushaddah in a correct manner. Tajweed Tip: 1. Madd laazim has to be elongated to 6 counts. 2. While stopping on this word, the noon has to be recited with ghunnah for 2 counts as it carries shaddah.
Note: The letter has the sifaat of ghunnah, so if the timing of ghunnah is missed then only one noon is recited (which is lahn Jali)
