Juzz -19
1. Surah Al-Furqaan : 61-سِرَٰجًۭا
تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجًۭا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَٰجًۭا وَقَمَرًۭا مُّنِيرًۭا
Blessed is the One Who has placed constellations in the sky, as well as a ˹radiant˺ lamp1 and a luminous moon.The word سِرَٰجًۭا (meaning: a lamp) occurs four times in the Quran
Recitation Challenge: Unique structure : Alif sagheera (ٰ ) after letter ر in the word.
Tajweed Tip:In the way of Hasa an Aasim, the word is recited as سِرَٰجًۭا
As alif sagheera is the part of Dabt ul Quran (and not a part of Rasm ul Mushaf). The word is read as سُرُجًا in other Qi’raah
Note: Utmani Script of the Quran facilitates the reading of Other Qi’raah. Knowledge of science of Qi’raah to be learned from the qualified teacher.The same word occurs in other 3 places and written with Alif muhaqqaqa (ا) ( Surah Ahzaab: 46,Nooh:16, Naba:13) All places where Alif Muhaqqaq is found it has to be read as alif in all Qi’raah, As Alif muhaqqaq is the part of Rasm ul Mushaf. One of the advantage of Rasm of the Mushaf is to facilitate all Qi’raah.
2. Surah Ash-Shuara :136-أَوَعَظْت
قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ ١٣٦
They responded, “It is all the same to us whether you warn ˹us˺ or not.The word أَوَعَظْت (meaning: whether you advise) occurs once in the Qur’an
Recitation Challenge: Letters ع and ظ are nearby and their makhraj are far away.
Tajweed Tip: Recite Makhraj of ع from Wasatul Halq, with Istifaal (lightness) Recite Makhraj of ظ is from the tip of the tongue with istiala (elevation) & ithbaaq (compression). Recite with proper sifaat of the the letters: Only letter ظ is heavy in this word , ع & ت are read with lightness.
