He replied, “This is the parting of our ways. I will explain to you what you could not bear patiently

The Word - تَسْتَطِع عَّلَيْهِ (meaning you were able on it) appears once in the Qur’aan

Recitation Challenge: Two identical letters next to each other (2 ع)

Tajweed Tip: When two mutamasil (identical) letters meet in sagheer state ( first one being sakin and second with harakah), idghaam has to be done. The first ع will be completely merged into second and the second ع has a shaddah because of idghaam. Recite with merging (idghaam) of first ع with the second.

Note: Makhraj of letter ع is from the Wasatul halq (Middle part of the throat), recite ت with Tarqeeq & ط with Itbaaq.

2. Maryam - 12-

˹It was later said,˺ “O John! Hold firmly to the Scriptures.” And We granted him wisdom while ˹he was still˺ a child,

The words خُذِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ بِقُوَّةٍ occur once in the Quran

Contemplation: Allah (SWT) is addressing directly to Yahya (Alaihis salam) to hold onto the book. (O Yahya! Hold fast to the Scripture the Tawrah) means, "Learn the Book with strength (with zeal and studious effort)."

“Take the religious with the strength”: This is the direct command from Allah (SWT) that we need to ponder about As students of Qur’an, we have to take the Qur’an seriously, in perfecting our recitation, pondering the meaning and acting upon its commands.
