Day 06: 30 Days Excellence Challenge

Tajweed Rule of the Day:
Laam in Lafzul Jalaalah (Allah):
The letter Laam (ل) in the word Allah (اللَّه) follows the harakah (vowel) of the letter before it:

  • If the letter before has a Fatha (َ) or Damma (ُ), pronounce the Laam with Thafkheem (heaviness).

  • If the letter before has a Kasrah (ِ), pronounce the Laam with Tarqeeq (lightness).

     Today’s Goal:
Recite Juz 6 and mark every occurrence of the word Allah (اللَّه). Focus on applying the correct rule (Thafkheem or Tarqeeq) based on the harakah before it.

    Reflection:
How does paying attention to the pronunciation of Allah’s name deepen your reverence and connection with Him? Reflect on the beauty of His name and its significance in your recitation.

Meet a Qari of the Day:
Today’s Qari is Sheikh Ali Abdur-Rahman Al-Huthaify. Known for his deep, resonant voice and precise Tajweed, Sheikh Huthaify’s recitation is a perfect example of applying the rules of Laam in Lafzul Jalaalah.

    Listen to his recitation here:

Pay attention to how he pronounces the word Allah with Thafkheem and Tarqeeq.
