Day 05: 30 Days Excellence Challenge
Tajweed Rule of the Day:
Thafkheem Letters – The letters خ (Khaa), ص (Saad), ض (Daad), غ (Ghayn), ط (Taa), ق (Qaf), and ظ (Zaa) are known as Thafkheem letters. These letters are pronounced with a heaviness or fullness in the mouth. Elevate the back part of the tongue and emphasize these letters to give them their proper weight
Today’s Goal:
Recite Juz 5 and mark every Thafkheem letter (خ, ص, ض, غ, ط, ق, ظ). Focus on pronouncing these letters with heaviness and clarity as you recite.
Reflection:
How does giving proper weight to these letters help you feel the power and majesty of the Quran? Reflect on how these letters add depth and richness to your recitation
Meet a Qari of the Day:
Today’s Qari is Sheikh Abdullah Basfar. Known for his clear and precise recitation, Sheikh Basfar’s style is perfect for learning the rules of Tajweed. Listen to his recitation here:
