Tajweed Rule of the Day:
How to Perform Sajdah Tilawah (سجدة التلاوة):
When you encounter a verse of Sajdah Tilawah, follow these steps:
Intention: Make the intention to perform Sajdah Tilawah.
Takbeer: Say Allahu Akbar and go into prostration.
Prostration: While in prostration, recite:
سَجَدَ وَجْهِي لِلَّذِي خَلَقَهُ وَشَقَّ سَمْعَهُ وَبَصَرَهُ بِحَوْلِهِ وَقُوَّتِهِ
"My face has prostrated to the One who created it, and brought forth its hearing and sight by His might and power."
Rising: Say Allahu Akbar again and rise from prostration.
Additional Notes on Sajdah Tilawah:
Timing: You can perform Sajdah Tilawah immediately after reciting or hearing the verse, or later if you are unable to do so at the moment.
Purity: It is recommended to be in a state of wudu, but it is not obligatory.
Direction: Face the Qiblah if possible.
Today’s Goal:
Recite Juz 26 and practice performing Sajdah Tilawah if you encounter a verse marked with ۩. If you are unable to perform the prostration, make a mental note to perform it later.

Meet a Qari of the Day:
Today’s Qari is Sheikh Adel Al-Kalbani is the first Black Imam of Masjid Al Haram. Sheikh Adel Al-Kalbani took night classes at the King Saud University in Riyadh. He started leading prayers in the masjid inside Riyadh airport. Soon after, Sheikh Adel Al-Kalbani was appointed as the Imam of Masjid Al Haram by King Abdullah. He is known for his beautiful and deep baritone voice.
