Day 25: 30 Days Excellence Challenge
Tajweed Rule of the Day:
Introduction to Sajdah Tilawah (سجدة التلاوة):
Sajdah Tilawah is a prostration of recitation performed when reciting or listening to specific verses in the Quran where prostration is recommended. These verses are marked in the Mushaf with a symbol: ۩. There are 15 verses in the Quran where Sajdah Tilawah is prescribed.
Examples of Sajdah Tilawah Verses:
Surah Al-A’raf (7:206):
"Indeed, those who are near your Lord are not prevented by arrogance from His worship, and they exalt Him, and to Him they prostrate."
Surah Ar-Ra’d (13:15):
"And to Allah prostrates whoever is within the heavens and the earth, willingly or by compulsion, and their shadows [as well] in the mornings and the afternoons."
Today’s Goal:
