Day 24: 30 Days Excellence Challenge
Tajweed Rule of the Day:
Stopping in the Middle of Ayat:
When reciting the Quran, it is important to avoid stopping in the middle of an ayah unless absolutely necessary. If you must stop due to an emergency, recite again from a suitable point to complete the meaning. Always follow the stopping signs (وَقْف) in the Quran, such as:
مـ (Must Stop): You must stop here.
ج (Permissible Stop): You may stop or continue.
صلى (Preferred continue): It is better to stop here.
قلى (Preferred stop): It is better to continue.
Today’s Goal:
Recite Juz 24 and pay close attention to the stopping signs in the Quran. Avoid stopping in the middle of an ayah unless necessary, and if you do, recite again to complete the meaning.
Reflection:
How does following the stopping rules help you appreciate the structure and meaning of the Quran? Reflect on how these rules enhance your recitation and connection with Allah’s words.
