Day 03: 30 Days Excellence Challenge

Tajweed Rule of the Day:
Madd Letters – The letters Alif (ا) before it is a Fatha, Waaw (و)before it is a Dammah, and Yaa (ي)before it is a Kasra are known as Madd letters. When these letters are followed by a Madd sign, we will elongate them further. Practice elongating these letters to beautify your recitation.

Today’s Goal:
Recite Juz 3 and mark every instance of Madd letters (Alif, Waaw, and Yaa). Focus on elongating these letters correctly as you recite them.

Reflection:
How does elongating the Madd letters help you connect with the rhythm and melody of the Quran? Reflect on how this rule adds beauty and depth to your recitation.

Meet a Qari of the Day:
Today’s Qari is Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly. Known for his powerful and emotional recitation, Sheikh Maher is the Imam of the Grand Mosque in Makkah. Listen to his recitation here:

Pay attention to how he applies the Madd rule in his recitation.

📸 Share Your Progress:
Post a screenshot of your marked Quran or share a short audio clip of your recitation using the hashtag #30DaysExcellenceChallenge. Let’s inspire each other to grow in excellence
