Day 22: 30 Days Excellence Challenge
Tajweed Rule of the Day:
Madd Aaridh Li-Sukoon (مد عارض للسكون):
When a Madd letter (Alif, Waaw, or Yaa) is followed by a Sukoon (ْ) that occurs due to stopping (not original Sukoon), elongate the Madd for 2, 4, or 6 harakat (counts). This is called Madd Aaridh Li-Sukoon (temporary elongation due to stopping).
Examples for Clarity:
Madd Aaridh Li-Sukoon Examples:
الْعَالَمِينَ → "Al-‘aalameen" (stop and elongate the Yaa for 2, 4, or 6 harakat).
الرَّحِيمُ → "Ar-Raheem" (stop and elongate the Yaa for 2, 4, or 6 harakat).
الْكِتَابُ → "Al-Kitaab" (stop and elongate the Alif for 2, 4, or 6 harakat).
Today’s Goal:
