Juzz -29 الـلـؤلـؤ و الـمـرجـان

Juzz-29

1.Surah Al-Insaan- 4-سَلَـٰسِلَا۠

إِنَّآ أَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلۡكَـٰفِرِينَ سَلَـٰسِلَا۠ وَأَغۡلَـٰلًا وَسَعِيرًا ٤

Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains, shackles, and a blazing Fire.

The Word سَلَـٰسِلَا۠ meaning chains occurs once in the Qur’an

Recitation Challenge: Application of specific rules when stopping on this word.

Tajweed Tip: There are two ways to stop on this unique word having a sifr mustatheel (o) on the ا after ل . i) Stop with alif madd as سَلَٰسِلَا ii) Stop with laam sakin as سَلَٰسِلْ Note: while reciting in continutation (waslan) the alif madd is dropped (not recited)There are seven words in the Quran which has alif with sifr mustatheel

2.Surah Al-Insaan-Ayah- 15-قَوَارِيرَا۠

وَيُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِـَٔانِيَةٍۢ مِّن فِضَّةٍۢ وَأَكْوَابٍۢ كَانَتْ قَوَارِيرَا۠ ١٥

They will be waited on with silver vessels and cups of crystal

The Word قَوَارِيرَا۠ meaning (Of) Crystal occurs once in the Qur’an

Recitation Challenge: Application of specific rules when stopping on this word.

Tajweed Tip: Stop with alif madd (waqfan) and drop the alif madd when continuing (waslan)

Note: It is one of the words from the Alifatu saba (7 special alifs). In the verse 16, the same word appears with a different symbol on alif (circle shape, Sifr Mustadeer) قَوَارِيرَا۟ , this alif is NOT read (i.e., silent) when stopping (waslan) and when continuing (waqfan).
